The uncertainty over the participation of Bangladeshi players in the upcoming PSL season seems to have subsided with them getting the No Objection Certificate to participate in the league, which is set to begin from March 26.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, a top official in the Bangladesh government told the website, “We have discussed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (about the situation in Pakistan), and later they communicated with our High Commission in Islamabad, and after they provided assurance, we decided to give permission to play in PSL.”
The News
It was being reported that the Bangladesh government is contemplating not sending its players to Pakistan to play in the eleventh edition of the PSL due to security concerns. The security concerns were due to the war between Pakistan and Afghanistan. With both countries agreeing on a ceasefire because of Eid, the situation appears to have got a little better, which is why the Bangladesh government has decided to allow its players to grant NOC in order to participate in PSL.

According to the official, “Please be informed that both Pakistan and Afghanistan have declared ceasefire before Eid-ul Azha. It is expected that the ceasefire will sustain for time being. The venues for PSL matches are selected in Lahore and Karachi, which are safe enough. Yesterday Pakistan Cricket Control Board announced that there would be no public gathering at the stadium. Concerned authority of Pakistan are committed to ensure safety and security of the cricketers,” the letter states.
“Under these circumstances, the Mission recommends that Bangladeshi cricketers can participate at the PSL matches,” it added.
The Situation
After a chaotic last few days, things appear to be on track with the arrival of players, which was the talk of the town as far as PSL is concerned.
